Platini start playing soccer in a little club called Nancy.
He then became a star after the 1982 world cup in Spain (loosing against east Germany in semi final)
With St Etienne winning 4 French championship and competing in the UEFA Cup he earned an International status.
For the remaining of his career Platini played for the Juventus in Italy (by the way he was the second french player ever to leave the french league) Big thing at the time.
But... he never won the world cup.

Micheal Platini was the capitan of the French National team and had a wonderful World Cup back in 1982. Highlight game was against Germany. With Germany winning on penalties after France had lead 3-1 at one time...
